FIR filed against former DCM Ashwathanarayan
An FIR has been registered against former DCM Ashwath Narayana who had made a provocative speech against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah last February.
On February 14, Ashwatthanarayan, who had given a speech at a BJP event in Satanur of Mandya district, had made a controversial statement that Siddaramaiah should be killed like Urigowda and Nanjegowda had killed Tipu Sultan. After that, complaints were filed against him in various parts of the state.
In this regard, KPCC spokesperson M. Lakshman along with the Mysore District Congress delegation went to Devaraja Police Station today and filed a complaint against Aswatthanarayan. Based on the complaint filed by the Congress leaders, the police registered an FIR under Section 506, 153 of the IPC. A complaint was filed earlier, but the police who received the complaint did not register an FIR.
